In the recent years the access to the internet has been increased immensely. Internet has been enormous help from a child, to and adult and from a student to the business tycoon internet has been a source of information. Internet provides new meeting grounds for making contact with people. Internet has become a part of our existence and we feel handicapped without an access to it.
Most of the teenagers are seen to spend time over the internet chatting or net surfing. Internet is being used everywhere for education, information, knowledge, commuting and entertainment. It is extensively used in schools, offices, business organizations and in homes.

Among the various uses of the internet seeking sex and sexual partners has been one of it main service. Internet is sexually explicit and causes sexual arousal. There are teenagers who spend hours over the net to find sexual pleasure. The Internet is seductive and allows your imagination and dreams to take on a life of its own. Most of the American children are being exposed to the internet sex. Teens often search about sex on the internet that they would not want to discuss from any one. They gain more knowledge than they are supposed to know about sex. There are children who seek pornography over the Internet but there are also children who are often inadvertently exposed pornography while searching over the net thus encouraging them for sex. Internet has a great way of sharing information and knowledge but it has also created a negative side to it. With sex over the net more and more children are involving into sexual activities.

Children are being deceived over the net. It is not easy to identify the person you are chatting with and thus are easily cheated. Soliciting sex has become one of the major problems over the internet. Incidents have been reported where adults have pretended as children over the internet and later created problems when they fixed meetings to commit crimes such as molestation, assault and even rape. Pedophile Websites are being tracked down and removed from Internet servers in countries all over the world yet they reach out to children via chat rooms where they promote one another to move forward with advances on new victims and their families through what they call "loving relationships."

Researchers say that Gay men use the internet to seek sexual partners than heterosexual men and women. It was also said that gay men using the internet for seeking sexual partners were likely to have unprotected anal sex than non-internet users; they were at increased risk of acquiring a sexually transmitted infection. Statistics have shown that Internet seekers are mostly men and homosexual than those not seeking sex through internet. People who seek sex through internet are at a greater risk for sexually transmitted diseases than who do not seek sex on the internet.

There is a negative side attached to internet due to the increasing internet sexual crime. Parents also do not like the idea about their children spending time over internet as they fear their children are being sexually abused.
