Our spiritual growth tells us that we are three part beings of mind, body and spirit. It is our physical bodies that allow us to experience life. The secret is that there is no way would be able to experience life if our bodies made up the totality of our being. Our body alone does not allow us to see the interconnectedness of all of life. That is one of the main reasons that we find it easy to accept this idea that we are separate from each other. Our physical senses tell us this is so. But our physical senses don't give us the whole picture of “what is so.” They only give us a portion of the whole picture. They allow us to see and interpret the physical part of this game board of life. They don't interpret and inform us of the nonphysical aspects of our existence. Critical aspects of our very beingness, such as the spirit part of the three-part being that we are, are not part of those physical sensory data inputs. Our nonphysical senses are the conduit to those aspects of our beingness that are not external to us. We say that we must go deeply within to tap into this metaphysical part of our beingness, but in truth our nonphysical senses send and receive data from within, without and from the totality of everything that is. This creates another one of those interesting dichotomies that are found everywhere in the relative physical universe. The dichotomy lies in the abstract notion that what our physical senses relay to us is what is “real” in our lives. The ultimate truth is that what our physical senses relay to us is what is “illusionary” in our lives, and it is our nonphysical senses that convey who we really are. Think about this concept for a while without judging or rationalizing and you begin to understand the fantastic game board of life that is the stage upon which we get to “experience” all that we know of as “concepts.” Remember, everything that exists, the physical and the metaphysical, all came from the source of everything. There is nothing outside the source. The source is the all of everything. Everything that exists, exists within the source. The source created the whole shebang within the infinite parameters of the one thing that is all things. You, your physical body and your senses, do not stop at the outside of your skin. You, just like God, are the one thing that is all things. The essence that you define as yourself, and that you physically describe as your body, is much more than you have imagined in the minds eye of your interpretation of life. Let's get a little esoteric here so that we can get a better handle on this wonderful game that we are playing. By stretching ourselves a little we will pick up some new tools to help us play the game more effectively. Unless you don't. It's all a matter of choice. Our physical senses tell us that we have a unique body that is particular to us and if the only thing we had to rely on to interpret this relative physical universe was our physical senses, then the only conclusion we could come up with is that we are separate from each other. My body is mine and your body is yours. My body stops at the limit of my skin and your body stops at the limit of your skin. Our physical senses tell us this is so and this belief is re-enforced by a society that has based a series of life rules solely on this concept that we are separate from each other, separate from all other things and therefore separate from God. These man-made life rules don't “make it so,” they only describe “what is so” (according to our belief system) at the current moment of the eternal moment of now, subject to change according to our choices in the next moment of the eternal moment of now. These physical senses are powerful tools used mainly by the body and the mind for interpreting the physical aspects of our being and environment. Because we are playing this game of life in a physical world that is based on the concept of relativity, we live in a setting defined by dualities. Tall-short, hot-cold, young-old, man-woman are examples of the polarities that describe the relative nature of this portion of our existence. All of this is as it should be because the whole reason for our existence is to experience in the relative physical universe all that God knows of as concepts in the realm of the absolute. We are allowed to play the game in any manner that we choose. This is called free will. It is the illusion of physicality that is our gateway to experiences. It is the experiences in life that are whole reason for our being. The secret to life is in what you choose to experience. What are you choosing as the experiences of your life? Always remember that you have free will to choose any experience you desire. Nothing is stopping you except your own limiting beliefs.
