Spirituality information tells us that we choose to be here on planet earth. You are eternal and it is your choice to remain in the realm of the absolute, where you know all things, or to once again choose the human life experience. Your spiritual growth tells you that no matter what dimension you occupy you are always a spirit child of God. When you chose to re-enter the physical universe you made an agreement with God to voluntarily forget that you are a spirit child of God with all of the same powers and abilities as God. You have a clean slate. You are primal innocence. You are a three-part being made up of mind, body and spirit and you are in perfect balance in this triad. You are fully present in every moment of now. You are one with all that is. You are pure beingness. As you are exposed to this wondrous new world, you begin to take notes on what is going on around you. You begin to accumulate knowledge. You begin to define this state of beingness that you are immersed in, and all the stimuli that affects you begins to take on relationships to you. You continue to add to your storehouse of knowledge from all of the wondrous and innocent events that pass before you. Remember, everything is new to you. You don't know it yet but you are creating an image of your self through your environment. This primal innocence is the ultimate of who we are and it exists as our ultimate beingness before thought happens and after thought happens. As we mature and grow, thought happens. Thought has the effect of clouding the ultimate of who we are. We never lose the intimacy of who we are because that cannot happen. It can never be lost because that is who we ultimately are, once you strip away all the clouds of thoughts that surround us. When the dark clouds of thoughts are removed, the light of our ultimate being is revealed once again. Thoughts begin to happen to us and this begins the subtle shift from the ultimate truth of our unity with all things to a concept that we are separate from everything that is exterior to us. As we become more cognizant of our environment, we begin to receive subtle messages designed to make us feel guilty and unworthy, as a device to limit and control us. Usually, our parents send us these messages because it is their belief of the way things are and they are passing on to us what was taught to them. This is the nature of learning in the realm of the physical, relative world. You need a protector and the ego begins to emerge as the entity that takes on this role with the authentic intention of protecting you. This is good. This is part of the process. Life is emerging before you and your ego stands at the ready to protect you from life situations. As you begin to mature and become more cognizant of this life process so does your ego. The ego recognizes its critical role here and begins to get stronger and more sophisticated in its role as protector. As the ego gets stronger, the clear beingness of who you really are gets clouded over by the demands of the ego to protect us. With this newfound priority as primary protector, the ego begins to think that it is you. It is at this point that the game shifts for the ego. Now the ego begins to believe that it is in charge. Now the priority of the ego changes from the altruistic protector of you to the game of protecting itself and its newfound role as assuming to be you. The ego believes that if it is going to successfully protect you against all of the life events that can hurt you, or cause you to feel rejected, and if it is going to assist you in gaining love, acceptance, and recognition, then the best way to do that is to take over complete control of you and everything in your life. To do this, the ego begins to develop strategies and devices that are designed to always keep you thinking of yourself as being in the past or dreaming of the future. These procedures are designed to prevent you from being fully present in the moment, where the ego does not exist. This is where the sacred-self dwells. The sacred-self has not gone anywhere while this entire power shift has taken place. The sacred-self has not stopped talking to you or stopped revealing the ultimate truths of who you are to you. But the sacred-self, as emissary of the spirit, maintains its presence in the heart and will never over rule the ego in your decision making process. The ultimate choice on what direction you take your life is still, and always will be, a matter of your own choice. It is always a matter of discernment on your part as to what information you receive is coming from the mind, and therefore the ego, and what is coming from the heart, and therefore the sacred-self.
