The truth shall set you free. That is a wonderful statement if you are actually speaking your own truth and not the truth of others. Your spiritual growth requires you to be true to yourself and not fall into the trap of conformity. Use the law of attraction to speak only those words that are true to you through your experience. When you speak words of love then love is your truth. When you speak words of fear then fear is your truth. How do you think we have come to live in this fear-dominated world that exists right now? It is from the collective words that we speak in every moment of now that we manifest our reality. Remember, all of life is a choice. We will continue to live in this fear-based world of separation until we choose to do otherwise. First we individually choose to do otherwise and then, and only then, do we collectively choose to do otherwise. It all starts with your individual choice. Call to mind the concept of free will. This idea that we are free to choose anything that we want is the beauty of what life is all about. Somewhere along the line in a lot of people's thinking came this idea that you built your nest and then you have to sleep in it. That is not true. The truth is that there is nothing that you have to do. Nothing. You might say, “Well, I have to breathe.” I would say to you, “no you don't.” You don't have to breathe. It is your choice to breathe, but you don't have to breathe. Now, the natural consequence of your choice not to breathe would be to stop functioning in your human body. The body's functions would terminate and it would decay and recycle itself. You, yourself, would not die, but you would no longer occupy your body. You, yourself, are eternal and you would have to make a choice about what you choose to be next, and you would make that choice from the free will that you possess at all times. So you see, we are not stuck, either individually or collectively, within this fear-based paradigm of separateness. We, both individually and collectively, have chosen to life this way because that is what was handed down to us before we were able to make informed cognitive choices. We entered this physical universe agreeing to voluntarily forget all that we know (which is everything). As babies, we could only make uninformed choices. The world that was presented to us is the world that we had to accept as real. Words kept coming to us and all the words were truth because we didn't know anything about relativity yet. Only when we got to a stage of development where we were able to compare words that we believed to be true, to our own experience were we able to start questioning those words and begin to make choices. Even at this early stage of our development we began to see the limitations that people and societies have put on themselves through the power of their words. We were told early on not to question parental authority. We were admonished to do what our parents told us to do because they know best what is best for us. That reason alone was enough to allow us to believe everything they said was the gospel. Can you see how words have influenced our lives from the moment we entered this physical world? We have conditioned and molded our lives by the words that others have told us to be the truth and we continue to do that in each moment of now by continuing to accept the words of others as our own truth. We then regurgitate those words as our own and don't understand why we are confused about what is true to us. Every word that comes out of our mouths defines who we are. Think about it. It makes sense, doesn't it? Look back over your life and notice how what you have said has been an outward expression of who you believed yourself to be in any given moment. This basic truth hasn't changed. Every word that you ever speak from this moment forward still defines who you are. The only difference is that now you know this, in your consciousness, and so you are better equipped to understand the value of monitoring what you say. Instead of babbling on about what some newscaster said on the television, you can choose to select words that reflect your innermost opinions and evaluations of any given subject. You no longer need to regurgitate the words of others as your own. Now you can speak your own truths. Now you can speak from your own experience. Now you can be true to yourself and live with integrity about what you say and how you say it. Now you know that the words you speak not only liberate you from the bonds of unconscious living, but they also liberate others by demonstrating to them the power of words spoken from the heart.
