I was in the faith of my parents until I was 65. My DH was of another. I obeyed all the rules of my former church without question. I am sorry to say it didn't make any of us (family) happy. I now go with my husband and have been accepted by loving people. I hope our children see the way. By the way, we did look at other religions and are still looking because that is how it should be. Since i can remember i have been looking for my path. I grew up in Portugal in the middle of the mountains in one of the most beautiful place i ever saw. In a green valley between mountains . Nature always made me feel i belonged to something more important than anything else. When i felt down and lost looking to trees was the the only thing that helped. I was raise as catholic. When i grew up i start to believe that there is something around us, some kind of energy that involves all of us and influence us, and makes our spirit live. This need i feel to connect exists for a long time inside of me. A special friend said once that when i was ready i would feel it. I have a daughter she is eleven years old and she is called Avalon. I gave her the name when i read the book the" Mists of Avalon" from Marion Zimmer Bradley .I was enchanted with their way of life, i must confess that i didn't read all the book, i was pregnant int the time, and when i reached the chapter about Guinevere trying to convince Arthur that Avalon's old religion was pagan and evil this really upset me and i threw the book away and never read it again. The only problem is i don't know where to start. I have been reading books about crystals, trees, wicca, etc.. the books i read they were not that commercial and they gave certain kind of knowledge. But they didn't fulfilled the need of contact with people who felt exactly the same as i do. In the internet exists all kinds of covens and societies, but is difficult for me to trust them. A religion so old as this as to be treated with respect and confidence and not be use for profit. I would like to have contact with someone who has more experience than i do . I started a study this march about international management. I was working at day time studying in the evenings and in between taking care of my family something inside of me was telling me, i was not following my path. I was feeling doubtful and unhappy i was not okay .I made a decision i quit. I didn't want to spend four years studying something it didn't fit with me. Now here i am trying to find some enlightening, every thing in me is telling me it is the right decision. The only problem is i don't know where to start. Since i made this decision i feel relieved and I'm having all the support from my family and friends, is the first time in my life that i send an email like this. I hope you can give me a reply
