We Are The Ones We've Been Waiting For

Rosa sat so Martin could walk--
Martin walked so Obama could run--
Obama runs so that children may fly!
Let this remind us that there is on this planet,
as far as people are concerned--
only one race: The Human Race!

For it takes both the black and white keys
on the piano to play the National Anthem--This
is true no matter what country we may claim as our own.

Let the history that has been made today,
serve to remind us that TOGETHER
we can make our world a better place.
Together we can stand, not in judgment--
but in the light and love that unites us all!

A paradigm shift has transpired--no matter whom we
may have chosen to support in this election--we can choose to elevate our hearts, minds and spirits.
We can all choose to open ourselves to see a greater
reality--to dream bigger dreams and accomplish great things.

We can choose to rid ourselves of self imposed limitations
and begin to walk in the light that is each and every one of us--

The trees that shed their leaves in winter--make room for
new leaves that come forth in the spring. Reminding us all that nothing is etched in stone-- all things must evolve and change--including us.

Let us not put our faith in one person, but instead reach deep within and ignite the faith within ourselves--in all that we can become and all that we can choose to create.

WE are the ones we've been waiting for!
