The Path That Leads Inwards

04/06/07

When I was younger, Church was as close to being on the spiritual path as I could get. I didn’t know what spirituality was all about and in fact, I don’t even remember it being brought up. There was God, us, and there was the devil, whom at that time, seemed larger than life or even God. It even seemed ad though God was having difficulty competing with the devil. Few people attended church and God was so angry with us, because we all chose the devil over him. God threatened us with being cast into hell unless we acquiesced to his side, and ironically under the care of the very entity who he was in competition with—the "devil."

For most of us it was the devil who made us do it, and it was for most of the things we liked to do. The devil seemed to be a big part of everyone’s lives and all of these things were supported by the devil. There was good and bad, and it was the order of the day. It was my belief that "better" people went to church. Therefore, if I wanted to be one of these people I would have to give up most of the things I liked to do and attend church on Sunday.

To this day, the devil appears to sponsor all the fun stuff. God’s message to you is’ "you’ll burn," and he offers very little else to compete against the fun stuff. How much fun can it be walking alone down streets of Gold in Heaven if you are made to feel guilty about picking it up and spending it? How can you feel great about staring out of the gates of Heaven, while your friends are out there having sex, drinking and partying it up? How can you appreciate Heaven and all the harp music while your friends are out there, listening and dancing to the cool stuff, which off course has been condemned by the church? The Friday night BBQ is out of course, because you were ordered to eat fish, or suffer eternal damnation, and you can forget about pork, or the "holy" cow. (Sorry I couldn’t resist.) In contrast, the devil befriends all those who eat the cool foods. Now if you have acquired a taste for lamb, you are semi safe.

Who’s idea was this anyway and how did it all get so screwed up? Why did the churches try to impose this boring, sanitized lifestyle on us in the first place? When and were did God actually say all this stuff? Who actually wrote the book on spiritual behaviour? Who wrote the Bible, the Torah, the Upanishad, the Qur’an, the Book of Mormon and the other Holy Scriptures? Who’s doing the writing and who is declaring them to be holy, and why?

In fact, it was in accepting the "given," that we lost our free will to make free choices, why have we allowed such beliefs to take over our lives? I am not here to say we should have anarchy, yet at a higher level it is what works best, with like minded people. It would seem we have already sold our souls to the devil and it may not be the one with horns and fork. Free will is our inheritance, why are we so willing to give it up, and why are we so easily sold? Are we following as lambs to be sacrificed or is it we have given in for an easy fix? We are all looking for easy answers, and every time we except the answers of another as our own holy truth, we give a part of ourselves away, for the illusion of security. It is observable—that it is exactly what we have done.

Few of us openly question the wisdom of the church or other religious organizations even though we know that the church has promised over thousands of years has not materialized. The system is not working and it is amazing that even individuals of higher understanding and intelligence supports the established belief, born of a guiding principal of fear. We have forgotten what spirituality is. We are living within the distorted image of an organization that is operating with an unholy agenda. Daily, minute by minute we are being manipulated for selfish purposes by all those who would have power over us. We traded freedom for protection and security not realizing security comes with a very high price. Slavery is not natural nor is the repression of the nature of man to create. Mankind has deliberately repressed his own will to expand his awareness and has given into the power of lies in order "not" to have to take responsibility for his own actions—"just tell me what you want me to be and I’ll be it"—until the moment comes up when you are asked to do, or be a thing that you don’t want to do or be, and you find that you no longer have the power to control what you do, because you sold out (A long sentence I know—sometimes it’s good to break the rules).

It is not my intentions to attack the church or any particular belief system. I am simply making an observation—that which they are doing is not working. It is appropriate, given the time and circumstances that these groups are part of our reality—we created them from the position of our own evolution. I am grateful for their existence. It is important for me, in that I have a reference point on which to base my own observations. From here I can move to a higher state, if it is what I choose.

My purpose in writing this article and in the other projects that I am involved with, is to help wake you up to different ideas—ideas which are perhaps more evolved or enlightened. What I am writing about here is my truth, not yours or anyone else’s. My truth is reflective of the New Age, New Thought movement and my own insight and experience. I believe the church must move forward and come into the 21st century at a more accelerated pace, and it must be now, if it hopes to survive. The church is operating from the platform of fear—fear for its own existence, as we do. From this realization it is easier to see why they are so slow in their evolution. The very reason for their existence must be remembered it is that they represent society’s position in evolutionary development and they are quickly being outpaced by their congregations.

Churches have little to do with spirituality although they were created by spiritual beings. Spirituality has been a part of everyone’s life long before churches commercialized it. It was practiced everyday ceremoniously in small tribes and groups and in interpersonal relationships—it was instinctive that we knew we were part of something bigger, and part of the environment we lived in. It wasn’t until organized religion came along and placed themselves in between the spirit and us, that we turned away from it. If you wanted to know anything about spiritualism, you had to support the church. The church made it absolutely impossible to live in spirituality or grace without it. As the church proposed a reconnection with God, it drove a wedge into the relationship and tried to separate us, from God. It became the mediator, and placed itself in a position of sovereignty, and untouchable by the inquisition of man outside the church.

Old concepts of heaven are a hard sell today. Who would want to be there anyways—the sinners have more fun. Heaven was created in the minds of men, as was hell. How you imagine the two are reflected not only now in your belief system, but will carry over into your death. What you know now will go with you, when you leave this physical world. It will be your reality for a period of time until you discover the illusion. When you change your thought about it, you will change your reality.

The idea of Heaven and Hell, good and evil, was envisioned by organized religion and turned into his reality in order to control man’s behaviour. It was our religious leader’s interpretation of how they believed God wanted us to live. It was their idea of spiritualism, and may have well been appropriate for their time in history, considering how mankind saw itself at the time. It was made manifest by the church with the complete co-operation and obedience of its followers.

If any part of you is alive and whispering to you that there is something more than what you are experiencing now—congratulations. You have started to wake up, and you are starting to become aware of your own spirituality. There is more, an infinite amount of more, and it never remains the same. Because it is alive it is forever changing, recreating itself, it does not remain static. This is what you are, and you represent the change in humanity. You are the new evolved human—you are out of the box.

Spirituality is not about religion or any other belief, it is all about you. It is about who you really are and what you are doing here. It is also what you have been denying all your life, throughout history. Your truth is what you have been ignoring all this time in favour of security, and another’s idea of who you are. You have avoided the responsibility of your own spirituality for the safe haven of the church. Shortly after your birth you began to forget who you where. Your parents gave you a name—they told you that you were female or male. You accepted their belief systems out of ignorance. You became what they imagined you to be, unless you were lucky enough to escape most of their influence and you became moulded into a society that had certain expectations of you, and a system of order designed to keep you conformed. You were moulded not only by your parents, but by your siblings, teachers, the church, social interactions, television and advertising. You never had a chance to develop naturally along the path you had set for yourself long before you were born.

Now you are awake, you are remembering, or you would not be reading this now. I do not believe in luck or chance. What you are reading now is purposeful in your life at this time. It is bringing you new awareness, or an affirmation of something you already intuitively know. You are beginning to see the light, to see the lie that was made manifest in your life, by those who have resisted evolution. You must see the lie for what it is, now. It was born out of fear—it was nurtured, from a sense of security to preserve its own existence. The only thing in the universe that does not change is change itself, and it is the only thing you can count on. Find security in change—it is where your immortality lies—in your ability to change and adapt. Do not lament about your past or old ideas, and find value in the new belief systems which affirm life, and do not take away from your creative nature.

Know always—it is you who creates the circumstances of your life, and you will not be punished by God. You will not be condemned to purgatory or hell, unless you believe you will. You are not unworthy to act as God to create or manifest—that is your true purpose, it is your birthright. You are here to create and recreate all the probabilities in an endless sea of opportunity. You cannot be judged, accept by mankind himself, while you are living your physical life. It is your day, a new day to create a model for other beings—that which is wholly life affirming and progressive. Clearly demonstrate your enlightenment through the model you create. Be guided not by what others tell you, but by what you know to be true for yourself—by what the little voice inside tells you, what you intuitively know to be true. What you create will always be appropriate for you, given your model of the world. When it no longer suites you—simply change it—recreate it. The change will also be reflective of what your new belief system is.

Allow others to develop theirs as well—encourage them to be creative and know it is fitting for them to do so. Fight for their right to change, embrace their creativity and join with like minds to create the world you envision. This is your purpose—you reason for being alive and it is your gift to humanity—this is walking the path of true spirituality. God intended nothing else—this is God’s will—if that is easier for you to understand.

It is not your purpose in this life to learn—you already have access to the full knowledge of the universe. You are here to experience that knowledge. You are an individualized peace of the creator manifesting as man, in the physical world in order to experience this knowledge physically. It is not enough to conceptualize, but at some point it must be experienced in order for you to be complete. You are a holy creature in all senses of the word, put here on a divine mission to create, create, create, and go on creating.

Guilt is inherent in all creatures. Animals are guided by natural guilt, on a subconscious level. This regulates their activity, so the species are guaranteed a continuance on earth. An animal may kill to survive, but the built in guilt tells it not to kill more than it needs to survive. The animal is not aware of this consciously, but submits to it on a subconscious level.

One of the essential elements of man’s free will is the sense of guilt he has at a conscious level. As man raised himself to a higher level of consciousness, he had to raise his level of understanding of guilt with it. He needed to understand the consequences of his actions, so he could make a conscious choice to change them if needed, otherwise he would not have free choice. He needed to know at a conscious level that he could not go on raping his environment without suffering the consequences of doing so. This is natural free choice free from retribution. Guilt is a simple gauge of his behaviour that is observable.

Man distorted his natural guilt and added the element of punishment. It wasn’t enough for him to keep repeating the mistakeswhich did not get him what he wanted, but now he had to punish himself for doing it. Now he makes the mistake, punishes himself, makes the same mistake, and punishes himself again. It was man’s fear of knowing he has the power over his own environment that causes him to add retribution for ignoring the guilt put there, to serve him.

With man’s distorted idea about why guilt was put there, he started to create doctrine that took away his own power. He felt guilt for having this power and he lived in fear that he could not control himself. He could no longer take the responsibility for punishing himself--it didn’t seem to make too much sense to him. He was taught by religion that it was sinful and he was told it was blasphemous to act as God upon his environment or for him to even punish himself. He moved away from the power he had over his own life and gave it up to the church and to God. He eventually lost his way so he organized more religions and belief systems which would guide him. He put the responsibility directly onto the shoulders of God, and man would be punished by God for his transgressions. He gave up his power and his responsibility for the stewardship of his environment. He blamed God, because of course now he rendered himself powerless and not responsible. Drought, forest fires, floods and other natural disasters were God’s punishments and he no longer had to punish himself with guilt—it was God’s job.

Man’s belief that he was unworthy caused him to turn away from what was rightfully his. He felt undeserving of his power and humbled himself in the face of God. He turned to lesser Gods for comfort. Because he now felt himself powerless—he turned on God and made him a fearful and vengeful God and further distanced himself—creating a separation that was buried deeper into his memory. He forgot he once had this power and sat on the right hand of God, as an equal.

We are all spiritual--it’s our nature and everything we do is spiritual. We are all connected to each other and our environment. Know this, and never forget again—you are here to create. Never stop creating, know yourself always as the one who has created the world you live in. You created it, en masse with all the other souls, You will re-create it time and time again, ever changing, ever evolving into even better worlds, because it is natural for you to do s  I am not here to sell you anything. I am here to help you become aware and to help you remember who you are. My way is not the only way--it’s another way. You do not have to apologize for being here—it is your right and you are always worthy—you have intelligence and you are deserving. If you do not like your life the way it is—then change your thoughts and become an observer of your life. All thought manifests in physicality and the physical world is a symbol of what is going on in your mind—it is demonstrated visually, auditorily, and kinaesthetically. These are the main categories which are our five senses, and they give us input or feedback from the "thoughts" which have been formed physically. They are the sensors in our physical body which give us feedback about our environment and we make adjustments according to the readout we get back from these sensors. We take sensor readings, make adjustments, take more sensor readings and make even more adjustments in an ongoing and endless fashion. The evidence is all around you—you only have to look—become aware of this and observe what is working in your life and what is not. Make adjustments to get rid of the things which are not working. Choose carefully with purpose, and choose wisely—become attuned to what is going on inside and make enlightened decisions.

Choose to live a spiritual life on this planet and don’t accept another’s idea of how you should live—take back the power that is rightfully yours. Your inner mind (intuition) always speaks the truth. Learn to trust it, and act on it immediately before your ego has a chance to interfere. Get back to spirituality, and give yourself back to yourself.

"Know, I exist within you—you are me manifesting in physical reality. You are God being God, being a creator, experiencing that which creates, as I do.

This is worth repeating—spirituality is not about religion—it’s about who you truly are. Love thy neighbour as thyself, because you are your neighbour’s keeper. You are your neighbour recreated in the form you see with your own unique personality—you are in relationship with him and your environment. It is you looking back at yourself, looking back on yourself. "I have sent you nothing but angels" and this is your playground created by you, for you, to experience the physical life—you are both the director and the actor.

You do not have to become what you already are. You do not have to become spiritual, spiritual is what you already are and what you seek to be—you just need to experience it. Walk away from any limiting thoughts which others have for you—they are false profits. You are the profit—prophesise well. Demand to be heard and stand up for your inheritance. "Know yourself as me and act Godly—act with impunity, act as that which created you, for it is who you truly are."

Note: Being on the spiritual path is not actually a physical path you must follow. It is simply the course of remembering who you really are and why you are here. The path is simply a re-member-ing. The more you remember, the more it could be said you are following the spiritual path. It is an inward journey and cannot be found outside the body. It begins with you and ends with you—Karma is the knowledge you have moved off the path. The so called Karmic debt is paid back simply from a realization you are back on the path. You will know when you are on the path with the realization that you are not on the path. Most of the time, in this life, we are off the path more than we are on it. It is why you are here—to experience being off the path, so you we will know when you are on it.
