Freedom to Choose
Our
Religion
Feb 2002
No religion or faith holds the ultimate truth.
The Creator, God, the all there is, what ever you want to call it, has given us
complete freedom to choose. We have total freedom of choice. That is why we have
had so many religions and beliefs in the world over the past decades.
Christianity accounts for about 1/3 of the world’s population. Islam has about
1/5 of the world’s population as followers; and Atheists account for about 1/5
of the world’s population. Bahai’, Buddhism, Confusianism, Judaism, Taooism and
many others claim the rest.
With all of the available choices, which one is right, or are any of them the
perfect religion? The answer is Yes and No! There is no one right way back to
the Creator and yet every way is the right way. All roads converge in heaven or
back to the oneness that is; every choice ultimately leads back to the ultimate
truth.
With all these choices, which one do we choose
Looking for the right religion is like looking for the right significant other,
our partner, wife or husband. We don’t spent near enough quality time at it.
Religion, like laundry detergent is usually determined by our parents. It’s use
is handed down with very little thought about it’s contemporary significance. If
it was good enough for my parents, it is good enough for me! We are brought up
to believe a certain way and attend a certain church. Religion is a family
tradition and is firmly ingrained into the family unit as the only religion. Ask
a laundry soap manufacturer how hard it is to get someone to change his or her
brand. Then ask someone to change his or her religion or faith. The resulting
responses will be comparable.
When we go out to purchase a home or new car, we are much more selective and
demanding. As with the two aforementioned items; we have the opportunity to
build a new house or car if we don’t like what we see. We can also start a new
religion. Evolution is not possible without change. Religions, beliefs and
faiths must also evolve to stay current with our thoughts and present level of
enlightenment. That is why we have so many faiths today. We manifest new
religions and beliefs to outwardly express our inward thoughts about our current
level of awareness.
Why do we then choose to believe in a religion that teaches conditional love? In
other words given that we have choice, why not select a belief or faith that
supports unconditional love? Most all religions and faiths support the premise
that you cannot get to heaven or back to the all-there-is unless you qualify. In
other words, there is a condition for you to meet in order to get back to your
creator when you die. If you cannot find a faith or religion that supports
unconditional love, then create one. Because you have the choice, why not choose
not to believe in Hell or the Devil? Would you be wrong or dammed for it? Yes!
According to some religions. We take with us when we die, that which we live or
believe in this life. If we believe in Hell, that is what we will experience
after death, if we believe in the Devil, we will meet him. If you are not saved
in this life by the church (a condition of conditional love) then you will go to
hell. This does not stand up to the truth about unconditional love; it simply
doesn’t work!
Mankind has written and re-written the Bible and many other sacred documents, to
suit his understandings. He has also created many churches and faiths. Change is
evolution. There is no change in sameness. Tradition has little to do with
evolution. If you don’t like it; simply change it. Manifest your current
level of awareness into a belief that is created in unconditional Love. Then
spread it around. You will find others who believe just as you do. Are the old
ways and beliefs really working today? Are they outdated? Is it time for a
change? Look around you, make yourself aware, if it’s not working anymore, then
do something about it! Change your thought about your faith, it's been done for
thousands of years.
