Basic Spiritual Information: You Are Love
At our core we are love. This is not just a catchy phrase, it
is a basic truth. God (and the Beatles) tells us “love is all there is”. God
also tells us that God is all that is. We can derive from this that God is love
and love is God.
If you listen to the messages of all the great spiritual teachers who have
delivered God's word to us throughout time (Buddha, Jesus, Krishna, Moses,
Mohamed, Abraham and many more), you always hear the same theme, God is love and
love is all there is.
God created the heavens and the earth, but love is the glue that holds it all
together. Before God created this physical world of the relative, he resided in
the world of the absolute where there was nothing but love. She knew how
all-encompassing love was conceptually, but her desire was to know the all of
love experientially.
That is why we are here, to fulfill the soul's desire to experience the highest
feeling of love you can imagine. What is the definition of love to the soul?
What allows the soul to say, “Yes, that is a feeling of love?” The feeling of
perfect love that the soul desires can best be described as the same thing that
pure white is to the realm of color. Pure white, in the realm of color, is not
the absence of color, but rather it is all colors combined.
If we take this analogy and apply it to how the soul defines love we see that
love is not the absence of emotions, but it is the sum of all emotions. Love is
the feeling we have when all emotions are present at the same time.
Not just compassion, generosity, bravery, empathy, and joy, but also anger,
hatred, jealousy, lust, and cowardice. The soul knows about all human feelings,
but knowledge is conceptual. In order for the soul to fulfill its desire to have
the highest feeling of love you can imagine, it has to experience all the
emotions. The soul can only experience this through life in the relative world,
where all emotions are available for us to choose and experience
So, what is love? We know we have it because we can feel it. We can actually
feel love in our hearts. When you feel something in your heart, it is a true
feeling. If we define perfect love as the total of all our feelings, then we see
that love, like life, is a process. Love is an ongoing feeling that resides
within us.
Like all basic truths, if we want to experience a part of ourselves, like love,
we need not look externally for it. We do not need to search for it in the eyes
of our spouse or our lover. We need to go inside ourselves and bring forth what
is in us. Love is at our core. It is in all of us, not just in some of us. We
are made in the image and likeness of God. God's core is love.
It is interesting that it all goes around like a beautiful never-ending circle.
God is the source of all that is. At the core of God is love. Love is all there
is. You and I were made in the image and likeness of God. I am one with God. You
are one with God. We are all one with God. God is the source of all that is..
God, love, you and I are all part of the process in a fantastic collaboration
called life.
All these terms are interchangeable. God, love, you, life and I are all the
same. The concept we call love is the glue. God = love, you = love, I = love,
life = love = God = love = you = love = I = love = life = love = God-you get the
picture.
