Based upon the best selling novel by James Redfield, The Celestine Prophecy tells the story of John Woodson (Matthew Settle), an out of work high school teacher who finds himself facing something of a spiritual crisis. However, after a chance meeting with his former girlfriend, Charlene (Robyn Cohen), his life is changed forever. Charlene tells him of ancient texts that are being translated by a group in Peru: texts that predict a worldwide spiritual awakening that will change the nature of reality as we know it. Moving on instinct alone, John travels to Peru and finds himself embroiled in the dangerous tug-of-war between those who seek to protect the prophecies an those would want to suppress them at any cost.
