The Sacred Chrysalis

 Humanity approaches the Shift of the Ages that has long been foretold.  We 
are asked to create a world of compassion, fairness, stewardship, love and 
enlightenment.  We are invited to awaken in order to heal our planetary home, our 
selves and our souls. 

We can no longer sustain endless war, violence, crime, poverty, 
deforestation, soil erosion, extinction of half of the world's creatures and the loss of 
the rain forests.  Nor can we continue to pollute air, land and sea and expect 
to survive.  The countdown has already begun.  Will humanity choose life or 
will it choose death? 

Just as the caterpillar must weave and then dwell within its chrysalis 
without knowing what will happen next, humanity's destiny calls us to this most 
sacred task without our knowing what is yet to be.  Humanity must move deeply 
within, to the place where all things begin.  To do so, we must first weave and 
enter the sacred chrysalis that will keep us safe and secure while a benevolent 
and wiser humanity evolves.  A trembling humanity grows still and silent. 
Gradually, humanity lets go of its old patterns, beliefs and structures of hate, 
control, domination, greed and duality.  One by one, we release them all.  As 
our distorted, limited ideas dissolve and fade; we realize that we are not who 
we used to be.  We grow aware that our imaginal cells have begun to grow. Our 
imaginal cells create a new scaffold and foundation upon which a sacred 
humanity will unfold.   

Two separate paths stand before us.  Which one will humanity choose?  One 
pathway does not enter the chrysalis.  Instead, it leads to a dangerous precipice 
and descends into chaos and despair.  An inhospitable Earth awaits.  The 
weary travelers find only a ravished, devastated Earth that can no longer provide 
for their needs. At the end of this pathway lies an evolutionary dead-end, 
extinction and humankind's demise.  None who walk this path will escape the 
consequences of their pillage and destruction of Earth's fragile biosphere. 

For those trembling yet, awakened souls, a second road beckons from within 
the sacred chrysalis.  It is here that humanity will experience the cosmic Dance 
of Shiva, the eternal dance of birth and death.  Here, energy embraces matter 
and matter embraces energy.  Inside the chrysalis, a living, hopeful humanity 
falls apart and magically comes together in a more sophisticated, innovative 
and noble way.  Humanity grows aware that every birth is a letting go and 
dying to a previous self and a way of being in the world.  Every birth serves as 
an evolutionary bridge to another level of awareness that bestows new 
personhood and possibilities.      

Travelers upon this second pathway seek the gifts of expanded consciousness 
and a peaceful world.  When the moment ripens, they will birth themselves into 
a world of spirit, abundance and endless possibilities for both inner and 
outer peace.  As an awakened humanity evolves within the sacred chrysalis, the 
outer world that awaits their arrival will reflect and echo these radical new 
changes as well.  Then will the Shift of the Ages occur, and a sacred humanity 
walk upon a bountiful and blessed planet for the very first time. 

Once upon a time, the gift of human consciousness transformed Homo Sapien I 
into Homo Sapien II.  This is how present day humanity came to be.  Once Upon a 
second time, the gifts of an evolved and noble consciousness stirs within the 
sacred chrysalis, awaiting the transformation of Homo Sapien II into a more 
benevolent Butterfly species.  Then will humankind learn to fly and see beyond 
the veil of forgetting.  Then will our species achieve new understanding and 
know themselves truly as humankind for the very first time. 

And so it happens, a creature unlike any that has ever walked upon Earth is 
born.  Its attributes and perceptions are new and finely honed. This Humanity 
has come to Earth to teach and to know Love. 

As a triumphant and loving Humanity at last emerges from the sacred 
chrysalis, a delighted Universe bestows the gifts of expanded consciousness, 
everlasting life, inner peace and unconditional love upon them.  No longer will Earth 
experience war and pestilence.  No longer will Earth face destruction, pollution 
or annihilation.  No longer will the animals, plants, trees, winged ones, 
swimming ones and crawling ones tremble and fear for their lives.  By embracing 
Butterfly consciousness, Humankind accepts Universe's gifts and becomes the 
sacred vessels for a new specieshood.  The birth of a spiritual and loving 
Humanity manifests a radically new world.   

With the acceptance of Butterfly consciousness, Humanity awakens the divine 
feminine who stirs within each of us.  She is healer, redeemer and resurrector; 
 a symbol of Humanity's spiritual birth and transformation.  Her awakening 
and evolution, in concert with the inner transformation that has occurred within 
the sacred chrysalis, bestows a new heaven upon Earth. Humankind again sits 
within the circle of All That Is. Earth rejoices, the Angels sing, the Sun 
smiles, and healing begins.  Let us make it so.
