Did You Hear the One About...
by Unknown
The water began to rise and gradually started to flood the land-- A
man ran to his neighbour and warned him of the rising waters the neighbour
replied that he had a close relationship to God and that God would save him,
and he declined to leave.
As the waters crept across his front lawn a station wagon drove up to
the front gate the driver called to the man to come and be saved from the
flood, once again the man replied that he had a close relationship to God
and that he would personally save him.
The waters continued until they entered the house and began pouring
through the windows. Two men in a small boat rowed to the front window and
called the man to safety and once again he refused proclaiming that God
would personally save him.
As the water kept rising the man was forced to the upper floor. Some
time went by and a helicopter hovered overhead and a man called to him to
climb the rope to safety. The man refused again proclaiming his love for God
and that God would not forsake him and would personally rescue him.
As the main clung hopelessly to his chimney the water finally swept
him away and he was drowned.
Upon entering the pearly gates of heaven the man recognized the one called
God talking to some angels and he went to his side immediately and called to
God.
I love you the man screamed out, I thought we had a close
relationship why did you forsake me?
God answered-- I did not, I sent you a station wagon, a boat and finally a
helicopter what more do you want from me?
The greatest love of all is unconditional love to be saved or not.
God answers your prayers through others and God helps those who helps
themselves.
